Herbert Wigwe, the late Chairman of Access Holdings, is currently trending #1 on the popular microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
This is due to unconfirmed reports suggesting that his family intends to exclude the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) from his burial proceedings.
While the exact reasons behind the family’s purported decision remain unclear, many point to the extravagant 60th birthday celebration of Mrs. Siju Iluyomade, the wife of the Pastor of the City of David Parish.
The extravagant celebration took place barely weeks after the tragic demise of Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and son in a helicopter crash in the US.
This reportedly didn’t sit well with the family, who considered it insensitive despite Wigwe’s contributions to the church.
Some of the late Access CEO’s contributions include placing the church choir on salary, adopting numerous children, and collaborating on various church projects.
