In a distressing incident on Monday night, the Akwanga council leader, accompanied by his close friend and philanthropist, Adamu Umar Tanko, widely known as Adamu Custom, fell victim to abductors.
Quest Times reports the abduction occurred at Ningo village on the Akwanga-Andaha Road around 8:30 pm.
The confirmation of this unfortunate event came from Haruna Kassimu, the Special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
He shared that the victims were taken against their will, casting a shadow over the community.
Also, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, added credibility to the situation by confirming the incident.
The police, in collaboration with other security agencies, have actively engaged in efforts to apprehend the kidnappers and ensure the safe release of the abducted individuals.
