Renowned Nigerian singer John Odafe Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has opened up on being subjected to death threats following his comments on the death of rapper Mohbad.
Showkey made these claims in an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, where he raised suspicions about circumstances surrounding the rapper’s demise.
Quest Times reports that the veteran singer alleged that there could be more to Mohbad’s death than meets the eye, pointing fingers at influential figures within the music industry and society.

Since speaking out about his concerns, Showkey made the revelation that he has been receiving threats, not only from unknown individuals, but also from people in power.
During the Instagram live session, Showkey expressed his apprehension, saying, “Do you know, Daddy Freeze, that after my last interview with you, I received a lot of death threats? Even people in government were threatening me.
I told them to watch your interview. Did I say anything wrong? I am speaking the truth. You would not believe what I went through. I did not sleep throughout that night. They were just threatening me.”
As the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death continues, it is crucial to address the allegations made by Daddy Showkey and assess whether there is any substance to his claims.
