Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has denied accusations of a feud with the suspended Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, related to the imprisonment of convicted murderer Chief Raymond Adedoyin.
The governor, addressing these claims of friendship and favoritism, asserted that he is facing blackmail over his refusal to shield Justice Ojo from a corruption probe.
Contrary to online reports implicating Adeleke, his sister, and the Commission of Justice in alleged persecution of Justice Ojo, the governor clarified that his family has no connections with Adedoyin.
Adeleke emphasized that the allegations of interference in Adedoyin’s case are baseless and that no family member was involved in the legal proceedings.
Governor Adeleke pointed out that Adedoyin is an All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalist, dispelling the misconception that the convicted individual is affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The governor attributed the turmoil in the state judiciary to multiple petitions filed by judicial officials concerning the purported misconduct of the suspended Chief Judge.
