Adebayo Busayo, a 33-year-old man, tragically ended his own life on Stanley Street Ipamaki Ibafo in Ogun State on Sunday, around 6:00 pm.
Busayo had reportedly confided in his sister, expressing feelings of depression before the unfortunate event took place in his sister’s apartment.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the deceased had been displaying signs of sadness and weariness, often appearing troubled.
A regretful onlooker lamented, “If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have advised him to speak up instead of holding the pains and worries to himself. I guess the suicide is a result of keeping too much inside. May his soul rest in gentle and perfect peace.”
Another witness identified as Bola, disclosed that Busayo took this extreme step shortly after commencing work at a Chinese company. She noted the discovery of a bottle of Sniper next to him at the time of his death.
Bola shared, “The deceased was said to have confided in one of his sisters in whose apartment his lifeless body was found that he was fed up with life. The sister was said to have taken the statement with a pinch of salt because it was made shortly before he secured a job at a Chinese company in the area. I wish he had spoken up earlier. It would have been better and I am sure he would not have killed himself. I wish his soul gentle and perfect peace.”
Quest Times further reports that the state command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed that the deceased’s body would undergo a medical examination at Sagamu General Hospital.
“The corpse will be moved to the Sagamu General Hospital for a medical examination,” Odutola said.
